The following are some of the Potential Benefits claimed by the Principal, who is also the Inventor.
13.1 The System Technology.
Technologically and structurally the system is relatively simple both to design and construct and it would cost about one third of the cost of the jet engine which it is designed to surround, the overall diameter being not much greater than that of a bypass type of nacelle around a Pure Jet type of Engine.
13.2 Control.
Aircraft equipped with such a System on each engine would possess the means of automatically reconfiguring in flight the Air Mass Motion Gearing of the Aircraft which would allow the pilot to select as appropriate the internal System configuration best suited to allow, for example, a long range Aircraft to operate economically throughout both medium and long range flights. Even Medium range Aircraft over short haul routes, indeed, the range and payload options over which economically viable results can now be achieved are many and varied requiring much fewer configurations of different Aircraft to meet all of the different market demands.
13.3 Fuel Economics.
The fuel consumption required to accomplish any equivalent commercial flight assuming no improvement in the efficiencies of jet engine or that of the airframe aerodynamics of an Aircraft so equipped would be halved. This results in a quite dramatic reduction in upper atmosphere pollution caused by the dumping of thousands of tons of hydro carbon by products per day, assuming of course, the same level of air traffic across the World.
13.4 Jet Powered Aircraft Noise.
The virtual elimination of Jet noise. It is the shear stress loads caused between Air Mass Motion and the physical Aircraft acting throughout the jet engine and around the airframe caused by the total lack of any integrated control over the interaction of both major ACTION & REACTION, AIR MASS MOTION SYSTEMS, No's 1 & 2 as they jointly act and interact upon the Aircraft's structure inclusive of its engine which is the principal cause of all major structural stress hence, the cause of high levels of noise. The Sound footprint of all subsonic and supersonic Jet Powered Aircraft equipped with this system will be dramatically reduced as a direct result of using this system.
13.5 Overhaul Life.
A virtual doubling of the overhaul lives of all the major rotating assemblies can be achieved this is attributable to the dramatic reduction in the operational AIR MASS MOTION stress loads caused by the total lack of interactive control between interaction of the VELOCITIES of the ACTION (Motion System No.1) & REACTION (Motion System No.2) halves comprising the Aircraft's, AIR MASS MOTION SYSTEM and, the Aircraft's structure inclusive of its engine/engines.
13.6 Vibration.
A general reduction in the vibration experienced throughout the Aircraft at all demand conditions for the same reason as in (13.5) above.
13.7 Design Options.
The combined influence of 13.1 - 13. 4 inclusive makes it possible for the Aircraft and engine designers to trade off fuel consumption against payload, improved Propulsive Efficiency in it's proper sense against, range and speed, in a way hitherto impossible since Jet Powered Aircraft were first invented.
13.8 Operational Costs.
The combined affect of 13.1 - 13.5 inclusive makes possible a virtual halving of the operational costs of all Jet Powered Aircraft so equipped, even if it is assumed that no improvement whatsoever in the operational efficiencies of either the Jet Engine as a physical Jet Engine or, the Aerodynamics of the Aircraft's Airframe is achieved.
13.9 Single Stage to Orbit Flight (SSO).
The creation of single stage to orbit Vehicles, assuming the current levels of applied technology in terms of Structural Aerodynamics (not Motion Dynamics) and jet engine efficiencies is now an economic and commercially viable possibility. A "bus" trip to space and back can now to all intents and purposes become a practical reality well within the next decade, depending entirely upon the will to invest in such a venture.
13.10 Heat "Footprint".
A dramatic reduction in the heat footprint of the Aircraft at all demand conditions.
13.11 Strategic Ramifications.
The military and strategic ramifications made possible by the adoption of this concept could well change the "balance of power" depending entirely upon who possessed strategic Military Aircraft equipped with this system. No conventionally configured Aircraft could conceivably out perform even exactly same type of Aircraft equipped with this system in terms of speed, range, manoeuvrability, altitude performance or, payload capability
