It is perfectly clear, in spite of having enjoyed a continuous very sound  market growth  for over five decades the conventional form of Jet Powered Aircraft is technologically bankrupt. The Industry cannot technologically achieve a return upon investment sufficient to service  it's existing burden of debt, the ongoing escalation in development and operational costs and, improve it's level of profit sufficiently to free itself from this upward spiral of the costs of  It's continuing  existence.  This simply cannot continue for very much longer, as things are.
